Shoe Personality of the Week: 1/24/2011

Last week I received a series of reminders that mission Shake This Stress wasn't working anymore. I don't know when it crept back into my life, coming up on me like a chick who can't fight but has something to prove to her friends. I see you.

One of my stress relievers has always been exercise, but.... As this Winter thing continues, against my will, I'm fighting the urge to hibernate. I would've made an excellent bear, minus that foraging business. The Gods, however, had different plans for me. There is hope. It's the end of January & on the other side of February is the possibility of warmth to go along with the sun. I say possibility because I don't recall any such warmth last March, but....it was an extreme shift in the natural order of things. I'm still waiting for my Olympic medal in dust pan shoveling. I'm straying. Anywho, as it was mentioned over dinner Friday night, it's time to start yodeling at our Summer bodies. Sundress & Sandals Season is upon thee & thee must be ready. I've already verbally ejaculated all through here about my love affair with the Summertime so I'll spare you that. Just know that my eyes dance & my heart sings in anticipation. Plus, we all need something to look forward to. Come June I will be deliver this litter of 113(+) & get my figurative figure back. In anticipation, it's time to tighten up my literal figure as well.

I'd gotten started, well before Resolution Season but it seems that I've fallen off somewhere along the way. Between going from 2010 to 2011 & these warning headaches, I haven't done much by way of exercise or regular meals, or adequate water. So, it's time to lace up or velcro, whichever you're more proficient at, & MOVE (if you wanna).

Watch me move.

When I lead Warm Up @ dance class, this song's actually on the playlist. I like the hot & cold play with the drum machine. Busta Rhymes's "Touch It" will do the same for you if Mims aintcho twist. Enjoy!
