Shoe Personality of the Week: 11/9

Nostalgia.
Sisterhood.
Family.
History.
Fun.
Funky.

Those were the themes of the weekend that will carry their energy into this week.

One of my closest friends from high school had her 2nd daughter's Dedication this weekend. We all gathered, once again, in the spirit of love and family that has walked with us over the last........18 years. We've all transformed and become our own version of Optimus within our Prime [years]. We are beautiful. We are unique. We are strong. We are resilient. We are focused. We are connected. We are talented. We are mothers, sisters, friends, and wives. We are here.

There are no weddings coming up, but these bonds have caused me to gladly reach back for something old, and appreciate the new twist that comes with growing together and having each others' backs, fronts, and sides. This new take on an old look is like our friendships. Who knows what turn this is for this style, but all good things wait patiently in their place for their time to shine. Like this boot, we are "shiny" and maintain with and for each other, with grace and beauty.

And as an inside joke, these boots go out to those of us who have traded comfort in for style and sometimes forget how youthful we are. Don't take on your grandmother's taste [unless she's just that fly] cause we're still young. Children and stilettos may not be a match, but we can still look just as good stompin' to a PTA meeting as you can running your own meeting or on that endangered species that has become date night with (y)our husbands.

Keep it cool. Keep it funky. Keep it stylish. Our haute [couture] years are not over!!
