Shoe Personality of the Week: 01/18

I said I would channel my male readership (why does that make me laugh?) and post a shoe y'all might actually wear. We'll have to just go with Unisex 'cause I'd clearly wear this shoe too if I could find it in my size. That's neither here nor there.

So, Star Wars was all about warriors, among other things, and I think now is the time for many of us to step up and be warriors in our own lives. Mine included. There's a call to action for our brothers and sisters in Haiti who need our continued support in coin and supplies, they need our encouragement, and they need the collective power of love and prayer. Be a champion for Haiti right now. While doing so, take a look at the wo/man in the mirror and check on whether you've been just as willing to help your fellow man in your own community. It doesn't mean that you've given money to anyone, it could be as simple as offering a much needed hug or keeping someone's children to give them a reprieve. Help has many faces. Which do you wear?

Aside from these shoes representing my theme, they're just fly. You know I believe we should be able to be fly in all we do, and it starts in the mind first. I'm gonna take my own fly warrioress [you know you like that] spirit into the new week. I'm going to call on some new energy and hopefully be able to calm the fighter aspect of that warrior. While I'm championing for others I have to always be sure to champion for myself as well. Once upon a time I used to give myself away leaving none of me for myself. Those days are done.
