Gifts of the Blogosphere 2010

A couple months back a blogger-friend of mine posted his own blog about having a talent for coming up with the best Craig's List personal ads. For fun, with ABSOLUTELY NO interest in actually posting an ad on Craig's List (creepy), I did put the challenge to said friend. The fun in this was that we only know each other through our words in the blogosphere. I appreciate his interesting perspectives and he appreciates....well, something, 'cuz he reads me. Author Dewan Gibson put his "Baby D" magic to work and came up with something I found to be....scarily accurate. So, without further ado, please see ME through the eyes of another.

Peruse his blog, laugh a little (or a lot, depending on the post), but only AFTER you click HERE

  1. You know I love ya (no homo) and something abou that rang sexy (seriously...no homo)...ahhh, wait for it (me, not you), wait for it. There it aint!

It's the sincerity of it. The result of a man taking a long, hard look at who a woman is, not just her assets. Yep. I liked it. Now let's see ya post it and what ya get cuz I might be his next client! LOL

  2. it definitely caught me off guard & made me rethink a few things--namely the notion of relationships formed via the internet being somewhat false. after all, it's the 1 place we can choose to recreate ourselves in a desired image with few to answer to or call us out; aliases, etc. the truth of the matter is i've developed some very unique "friendships" with people i can't call up & tell them to meet me @ the spot to break bread & imbibe. i've learned a lot about them as individuals & about people in general.

it doesn't make me any more ready for the concept of advertising myself via a personals ad. i just don't feel like it's come to that; though many say they do it to shake things up & add some spice to the kinds of people they're meeting. but Baby D, w/his adorable lil Phillip Michael Thomas-esque self, gave me pause because of what you said--he paid attention AND he put in some thought. how sexy is that? no need to ask you...you got it from the door. if i'm ever feeling adventurous, this is what i'll use.

  3. I'm just saying I think you should post it. The ad was the business! Oh and I will be adding Baby D to my list of blogs to read from now. I thank you in advance :-D
