Shoe Personality of the Week
So, it's been a loooooooonnng minute & I've missed doing this tremendously. For those not in the know, on Sundays I relate a shoe to some aspect of life--generally my own--personifying image & imagery. I'm a shoe fanatic who searches the web for shoes worthy of shoe-gasms & fantasizing about shoes I wish my arthritic knees & low back issues would allow me to wear. If I can't wear 'em, write about 'em, right? Right.
Do you SEE this shoe??? It has such a familiar feel, crafted from ideas & ideals that are essentially who I am. Fly & practical. No nonsense but spunky. About that business, but live for fun. It's the shoe manifestation of my vision of a teacher; myself as a mother; the way I approach my life. This is who I am in my future roll as clinician & creator of programming for girls. This is how I transition into my 40's with the face & physique of a young woman in her 20's. Early 20's at that. None of that polyester blend suit adaptation for me. I'm going to strut my way into my golden years with as much panache as these shoes possess.
I'll spare you the walk through my grad school woes, except to say I spoke it into existence here first. Not the woes, but the fact that I'd return. So attach that to the smartness this shoe is also shining on us. I talk myself into the walk. Does that make sense? This shoe, like me, is more than it seems at 1st glance. Get into yourself. How do the things you love represent who you are? & if it's shoes, it should be an easy parallel to draw. Have fun widdit.
