Deep Thaw

water drips slowly
from everywhere
eyelids & lashes
fingertips
runs down my neck & back
gathers in pools at my feet
room temperature
warm as it was inside it

the icy facade is melting
rapidly
giving way to steam
question marks
wanting
waiting
& more question marks
answers aren't necessary yet
having questions to ask at all is...

but i'm pretty sure it's spelled

other letters will add themselves
later
when it matters
for now
it doesn't

internal fog
froze
inside out
& now is becoming external rain
umbrellas are pretty
i'll weather this just fine
